Surface Water Treatment Plant at Payra Port Authority (PPA)

Project Overview

Surface Water Treatment Plant at Payra Port Authority (PPA)

Project Description

The Surface Water Treatment Plant at Payra Port Authority (PPA) is a major water infrastructure project undertaken by Water Birds Limited, a concern of Zi Group, to support the development of a reliable and high-capacity water treatment system.

The project scope includes the Design, Supply, Fabrication, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of a Reverse Osmosis-based Desalination Water Treatment Plant with a capacity of 250,000 liters per hour.

Designed as an integrated water treatment solution, the project combines advanced Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination technology with associated water treatment and transmission infrastructure to support the production and delivery of treated water.

Advanced Reverse Osmosis-Based Desalination Technology

The core of the project is a high-capacity Reverse Osmosis-based Desalination Water Treatment Plant capable of producing up to 250,000 liters of treated water per hour.

The treatment system is designed to reduce dissolved salts, impurities and other contaminants from the source water through advanced membrane-based treatment technology. The integrated process supports the production of high-quality treated water for the operational requirements of the project area.

Complete Project Delivery and Engineering Scope

Water Birds Limited's scope of work includes the complete implementation of the water treatment facility, covering:

  • Detailed design and engineering
  • Supply of water treatment equipment and components
  • Fabrication of required systems and structures
  • Installation and integration of the treatment plant
  • Testing and performance verification
  • Commissioning of the complete water treatment system
  • Associated HDPE pipeline and related water infrastructure works

This end-to-end scope ensures that the project is delivered as an integrated engineering and water treatment solution rather than as a standalone equipment supply.

High-Capacity Water Infrastructure

With a capacity of 250,000 liters per hour, the project represents a significant water treatment infrastructure development.

The associated pipeline and water transmission infrastructure, including HDPE-based components, supports the movement and distribution of treated water within the wider project system.

By integrating advanced desalination technology with supporting engineering and pipeline infrastructure, the project addresses the requirements of a large-scale water supply operation.

Zi Group's Integrated Engineering Capability

This project demonstrates the capability of Water Birds Limited and Zi Group to deliver specialized water infrastructure solutions covering design, engineering, fabrication, equipment supply, installation and commissioning.

Through expertise in Reverse Osmosis, desalination, water treatment, pipeline infrastructure and integrated engineering solutions, Zi Group continues to support critical infrastructure development across Bangladesh.

The Surface Water Treatment Plant at Payra Port Authority reflects our commitment to delivering innovative, reliable and sustainable solutions for complex water treatment and infrastructure requirements.
