Water Supply Works for Municipal Area

The Water Supply Works for Municipal Area project is an important municipal infrastructure initiative undertaken by Water Birds Limited, a concern of Zi Group, to strengthen and expand the water supply system for the local community.

The project involves the development of an integrated water supply network consisting of two production tube wells, one Overhead Tank (OHT), one pump house, an extensive distribution pipeline network and 1,822 service connections.

With a total distribution pipeline length of approximately 15.80 kilometres, the project is designed to improve the capacity and reach of the municipal water supply system and support more reliable access to water for households and other users within the service area.

Integrated Water Supply Infrastructure

The project incorporates multiple essential components required for an effective municipal water supply system.

Two Production Tube Wells have been included to develop and extract groundwater for the water supply network. The production wells serve as an important source of water for the overall system.

An Overhead Tank (OHT) forms a key part of the water storage and distribution infrastructure. The elevated storage facility supports the storage of water and helps maintain the required pressure for distribution through the pipeline network.

A dedicated Pump House provides the necessary infrastructure for operating the pumping system and transferring water through different stages of the supply network.

Extensive Distribution Network

The project includes approximately 15.80 kilometres of water distribution pipelines, designed to extend water supply services across the municipal area.

The distribution network forms the connection between the production, storage and pumping infrastructure and the end users. Through the installation of 1,822 service connections, the project helps establish direct access to the municipal water supply system for a significant number of users.

The integrated network supports a more systematic approach to water distribution and strengthens the municipality's overall water infrastructure.
